Loeb & Loeb Opens Its Third Asian Office in Singapore, Recruiting Capital‑Markets Partner from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer

It is recently reported that Loeb & Loeb has officially opened its Singapore office with the hire of Xavier Amadei, a capital‑markets partner from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer. Concurrently, Lewis Ho, partner in the firm’s Hong Kong office, will relocate to Singapore to further bolster the new office’s team.

Xavier Amadei brings more than 20 years of practice experience. He has long advised investment banks, issuers and shareholders across Asia and beyond on IPOs, rights issues, block trades, medium‑term note programmes, straight bond issuances, high‑yield note offerings, green bonds, liability‑management matters and other transactions. Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, he was a capital‑markets partner in Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer’s Singapore office. His prior career also includes tenures at White & Case, Linklaters and Baker McKenzie.

Lewis Ho focuses his practice on the pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors. He advises companies and investors on intellectual‑property transactions, licences, technology transfers, M&A and related matters. He joined Loeb & Loeb in 2017, having previously practised at Stephenson Harwood, Hogan Lovells, Simmons & Simmons and Dechert.

Founded in 1909, Loeb & Loeb is one of the largest full‑service law firms in the United States. Before the Singapore launch, the firm operated nine offices globally, six of which were located in the United States. Its Asian offices in Beijing and Hong Kong were established in 2010 and 2012 respectively. The opening of the Singapore office expands Loeb & Loeb’s Asian footprint to three offices and its global network to ten offices. The Singapore office will principally serve investment activities across Southeast Asia as well as companies seeking access to United States capital markets.
