Clyde & Co Expands Bangkok Team

Clyde & Co’s Bangkok office has recently welcomed the arrival of three partners and their teams: Robert Tang, Samata Masagee, and Akyn Suttawatanadech. The new partners cover practices including insurance and reinsurance, international arbitration, commercial disputes, corporate and M&A, as well as regulatory and compliance.
A seasoned practitioner specialising in cross-border dispute resolution, Robert Tang has extensive experience advising insurers, reinsurers and multinational corporations on complex insurance disputes, cross-border arbitrations and high-value commercial litigation across Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, he spent over 17 years at DLA Piper, where he was promoted to partner in 2022.
Samata Masagee focuses on complex cross-border transactions involving M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructurings, acting for clients in the TMT, financial services and energy sectors. Before joining Clyde & Co, she was a partner at DLA Piper and previously practiced at Weerawong, Chinnavat & Partners and Baker McKenzie.
Akyn Suttawatanadech’s practice encompasses construction and infrastructure disputes, commercial litigation, insurance and reinsurance claims, investigations and white-collar crime. He has over a decade of experience at DLA Piper before joining Clyde & Co, and has also worked at Limcharoen Hughes & Glanville and Siam City Law Offices.
