Recently, ‌Freshfields announced that Sean Donovan has joined the firm as a Partner in its Global M&A and Capital Practices, based in the Singapore office, to further strengthen the firm's coverage and service capabilities for core clients across Asia.

Sean Donovan holds admission to practice law in England & Wales and New Zealand. He primarily advises private capital clients on private equity investments, strategic investments, joint ventures, M&A and other complex corporate matters. He has led numerous sophisticated cross-border transactions across Asia and Europe, covering sectors including technology, business services, financial services, healthcare, consumer goods, education, logistics, aviation and industrial industries.

Prior to this return to Freshfields, Sean Donovan served as Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Transaction Legal Team at Permira. Earlier in his career, he worked in Freshfields' Private Capital M&A team, based successively in the London and Hong Kong offices.

With Sean Donovan's arrival, Freshfields' Singapore office now has a total of 9 Partners, 4 of whom focus on M&A and private capital transaction practices.
