David Phua, KWM Co-Head of ASEAN Energy & Infrastructure, Moves to Clyde & Co

Clyde & Co recently announced the arrival of David Phua, who joins the firm’s Singapore office as a partner.
David Phua boasts over a decade of legal experience in corporate and commercial matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development, and commodity sale and purchase arrangements. He has long specialised in the energy and infrastructure sector, having acted for clients across oil and gas, mining, power and renewable energy on numerous landmark transactions.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Mr Phua served as a partner at King & Wood Mallesons’ Singapore office. He joined KWM in 2019, was promoted to partner in 2023, and co-headed the firm’s ASEAN energy and infrastructure practice. King & Wood and Mallesons formally demerged in March 2026, around which time Mr Phua departed the firm.
