Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has recently announced the promotion of two lawyers, Yida Xu and Francis Greenway, to its partnership in Asia, effective 1 May 2026.

 

Yida Xu has extensive experience advising clients in the energy (including oil and gas, power and renewables), mining and infrastructure sectors on mergers and acquisitions, projects and long-term contracts. He also provides legal support to clients on corporate governance, risk management, as well as international sanctions and export controls. He joined the firm in 2010 and has been based in the Hong Kong office since October 2017.

 

Francis Greenway specialises in cross-border dispute resolution, with significant experience handling disputes in the energy sector. He joined the firm in 2020 and is currently based in the Singapore office. Prior to this, he served as Counsel at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and previously practiced at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr and Slaughter and May.
