Gunderson Dettmer recently announced the promotion of Shu Hu to Partner in its Strategic Alliances and Intellectual Property Transactions Group.

 

Admitted to practice in California and New York, Ms. Hu focuses on advising innovative technology and life sciences companies on a full range of cross-border technology licensing and R&D collaboration matters, as well as strategic alliance and commercial transactions involving intellectual property, data and other technology assets. In addition, she has long provided venture capital funds and startups with professional counsel on intellectual property, data privacy protection, and legal risks associated with commercial operations.

 

Ms. Hu joined Gunderson Dettmer in 2014 and is based in the firm’s Silicon Valley/San Francisco office in the U.S. She collaborates closely with the firm’s Beijing and Singapore teams to deliver legal services to clients in China and across the globe. Prior to joining the firm, she held positions at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva.
